A Message

Happy Home stands as a sanctuary of love, resilience, and transformation for orphaned and destitute children. What began as a heartfelt mission has continued to grow through faith, dedication, and the unwavering support of a compassionate community. Several years ago, Happy Home faced a significant turning point when it needed to relocate. With the support of generous individuals and organizations, a new property was secured and a safe, nurturing home was built. Today, it continues to be a place where children are not only cared for, but truly given the opportunity to thrive.

Happy Home has developed a great reputation for giving the children a wholesome and fulfilling life. Often, the police, other orphanages, and even family members of orphaned or abused children will reach out to Ranjeeta to take on additional children. She does not have the funds, but her faith in her life’s mission and Sri Sathya Sai Baba allows her to receive these children with open arms.

Under the devoted care of Ranjeeta, children are welcomed—often in the most difficult and vulnerable circumstances. Many arrive carrying deep emotional wounds, yet through patience, structure, love, and guidance from Ranjeeta, they begin a journey of healing and self-discovery. Each child is gently supported in rebuilding trust, developing confidence, and learning essential life skills. Education becomes a cornerstone of this transformation, with children attending private schools and colleges, supported through the commitment of the Education and Safety Alliance for Girls (ESAG). While ESAG helps provide for their food, clothing, and education, the responsibility of maintaining the home itself continues to rest with Ranjeeta. Sending 50+ children to private school and college is a commitment of ESAG to Ranjeeta and the kids. Raising that money is a challenge, finding dedicated donors who can see the big picture of how Happy Home life transforms the children into successful, loving, happy individuals is our mission. 

Over time, these children grow into strong, capable, and hopeful individuals. Their journeys reflect not only personal transformation, but the creation of a new future—one rooted in dignity, opportunity, and self-belief.

Every child who arrives at Happy Home carries a story…and each one is held with care, compassion, and quiet understanding.

One such little girl, Radha, came into this space at a very young age, after life had already asked so much of her. At just five years old, she was found wandering alone in the corridors of a hospital, having lost both of her parents. In that moment, she was not only without family… but without a sense of safety or belonging. By grace, a relative took her in. Yet, the weight of her experience left her withdrawn and fearful, unsure of the world around her. But her relative was unfortunately uncomfortable housing a little girl in the midst of all male household members. It was then that she was brought to Happy Home.

In the presence of other children, in the rhythm of daily life, and through the steady love and care she received, something within her began to soften. Slowly, she started to open up—to trust, to connect, and to feel safe again. Today, Radha is part of a nurturing community where she goes to school, learns, and grows alongside others. And most beautifully…her smile has found its way back to her. Her journey is a quiet reminder that even the deepest wounds can begin to heal… when a child is given love, stability, and a place to belong

There are many such stories at Happy Home—each one a gentle unfolding of hope. Children who once lived in fear and uncertainty now stand with confidence, pursuing their education, discovering their passions, and dreaming of meaningful futures. With continued support, these dreams are becoming a reality.

This work is only possible through the generosity of those who believe in the power of transformation. Every contribution helps create a foundation where children can heal, grow, and step into lives filled with possibility. Ranjeeta slowly takes the new children on a transformative journey, teaching each to trust and be responsible. She teaches them how to communicate effectively, gives them unconditional love and respect, and shows them how to interact with others, make friends, take care of themselves, and when she feels they are ready they start going to school. Imagine living in fear & trauma as a child, never knowing what will happen to you next. This is all possible with donations from people like you.
