No Child Should Have To Live In Poverty

Sadly, economic and political realities are indifferent to that principle. Millions of children in India suffer the detrimental effects of poverty, leaving them vulnerable to physical violence, neglect, abandonment, poor physical and mental health, and in the most tragic cases, death. The impacts of poverty are deleterious to these children, who only want a chance to feel loved. The effects of chronic stress, despair, fear, and physical suffering are often long-lasting, robbing children of the chance to realize their full potential, experience physical and emotional stability, and meaningfully contribute to their community. The Education and Safety Alliance for Girls strives to break that cycle of suffering, bringing hope to children who have none.
